Products that fulfill the Scorpio in your chart

Products that fulfill the Scorpio in your chart
As the end of Scorpio season nears (along with Mercury in retrograde— hold on y’all!)I've really been feeling out my Sun sign in dark, sultry looks with a focus on dark reds and black. Since Scorpio season is a time of transformation, I’ve responded with smudged berry lips and dark liner, but still retaining a bright apricot blush. I’ve also bought my first non-nude lip liner— yay!

For lips: As I mentioned before, a dark lip in Scorpio season is the move— for many reasons. You can get away with just wearing a dark lip. Clean skin and a dark lip is the ultimate french girl aesthetic, easy but still alluring, just like those Scorpios ;). It can be worn in multiple ways— old school hollywood with clean lines and precision (Think Hedy Lamarr, Grace Kelly or Vivien Leigh— Scorpio icons). A bitten look, with color concentrated on the inside of the lip— reminiscent of the Halloween just passed...and maybe the Thanksgiving ahead? (“Life Hack: Using cranberry dressing as a lip glaze” ahaha jk) Or my personal favorite, blotted, slightly smudged look, similar to Jean Damas (really going for the Parisian look with this one). Matte, satin, or glossy finish— it’s all a serve in the end, isn't it? The best makeup look for the Fall to Winter transition.

Products:
Mamonde Highlight Lip Tint in Midnight Singer (#10): A velvet-matte “lip tint” is more like a mushed up lipstick in a tube— I only say this because it isn’t a liquid lipstick. Come on very dark red, but when really blended out, turns more into a dark-hot pink. My first pick for the fresh-bitten look previously mentioned. A new favorite of mine— however, I got it about a year ago but never opened it..so it’s no longer on Mamonde’s website, but I found it on a different site. Find it here
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Raisin Rage: The ever-icon lipstick (and a favorite of Emily Weiss!) is surprisingly versatile lipstick. The formula is great on eyes, lips, and cheeks, for an impromptu (or emergency) monochromatic vibe. It’s a brick-burgundy, and looks fantastic either full coverage, blotted, or patted on the lip for a hint of color. Nothing like a drugstore gem in my eyes! Find it here
NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Cabaret: Described as a “Plum-Red” on NYX’s website, this is a beautiful color of a famous formula. This pairs really well with the Mamonde tint, for a perfect dark plum, or on its own. I personally really like it with a blurred-around-the-edges look, but putting it on as if it were a lipstick with a clean edge is really pretty as well. Find it here
Glossier Play Vinylic Lip in Disco: A super fun lacquer that adds the perfect pop of color, a warm terracotta. I personally think this looks best when it’s full coverage, because when I sheer it out it tends to look a little streaky. A really beautiful color with a beautiful sheen. Find it here
Glossier Lip Gloss in Red: For those days where you want a hint of color, but can’t commit to a full-coverage lip. To be frank: if you're looking for a full coverage gloss, this ain’t it. The gloss adds a beautiful tint of color, and looks great layered over any of the previous products. The perfect shine, and makes the lips look soft and luscious long after it wears off. Find it here.

For Eyes: I love a smudged kohl (or otherwise) liner on the lower lash line— so if your eyes are watering from brisk winds, it won’t smudge because it ALREADY IS!! Or, a clean waterline look, or a bold cat eye— a lá the ever-iconic Scorpio legend Alexa Chung. However, I can’t recommend a liquid liner because that's not my vibe lol.

Products:
(Not Pictured) Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Blacquer 42: One of my favorite black liners— it’s pigmented, smooth, and glides on beautifully. Looks great on the waterline. Find it here
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion: A super-black, super-matte pencil that does not play any games. While it looks great on the waterline, I love it smudged out underneath the eye. Find it here
Glossier Play Colorslide in Disaster Class: A beautiful wine-colored liner in one of my favorite formulas— homegirl does not MOVE! Looks beautiful on the outer lower lash line or smudged on the upper lash line. If I was skilled enough to do a cat eye with a pencil, this would be the first pencil I would pick. Find it here

For Skin: Clean, flushed skin is always my go-to, but I find as the weather gets colder is especially crucial. I love a good exfoliant to keep my skin smooth despite the cold weather and a good creme blush to keep things looking dewy— preferably in a color that isn’t pink-toned, so I don’t look like I just came out of a winstorm.

Products:
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution: A cult-classic chemical exfoliant, which also matches the color theme. Need I say more? Keep it smooth, ladies. Find it here
Rituel de Fille Inner Glow Crème Pigment in Delirium: I mentioned this in my summer glow post, it’s still one of my faves. A glowing, beautiful flush that works on eyes, lips and cheeks. (Hack: Layer underneath the Glossier Play Vinylic Lip for added dimension) Find it here
Glossier Cloud Paint in Dawn: My favorite blush. A bold statement, but this is the ultimate product for me. It’s very similar to Delirium, but without the shimmer… a perfect apricot tint, in Glossier’s incredible formula. I know they say a little goes a long way with all of the Cloud Paints, but even more so for this shade, considering this was one of the shades formulated for darker skin tones. The tiniest amount with a whole lot of blending/patting in. But my God is it worth it. Find it here

For Nails: At this point in the season, I’m going bare or dark. Considering how dry my nails get in the cold, polish chips super easily. I’m really feeling a buffed nail as of right now… but when I wear polish, you're gonna notice. I absolutely adore a burgundy nails, very Mia Wallace.

Product:
Formula X Nail Polish for Sephora in Obsessed: The perfect burgundy, with the perfect name. A little streaky— nothing that a third coat can't fix—  but I wouldn’t recommend for those who don’t typically paint their own nails. Unfortunately, I think the collection has been discontinued and I can't find it online (unless it’s on eBay or something lmfao) so I would recommend any other dark red.
