Laneige Eye Mask & Water Bank Moisture Cream Review
Laneige Eye Mask & Water Bank Moisture Cream Review
*Before I begin: Laneige is NOT a cruelty free brand— I was not aware of this before I purchased these products. Laneige is a Korean brand, so the laws and standards of skincare products are different than in the United States, in which they may be required by law to test on animals. I try my best to do my research, but I failed on this account. I wanted to make this clear. I was not aware that this brand may test on animals, but I will finish the products that I have and do not plan on repurchasing.*
Laneige has been a favorite of mine— the Korean skincare that puts moisture, moisturizing, and nourishment above all else. Their Sleeping Mask and Lip Sleeping Mask are some of the best overnight products on the market. But I wanted to try more. Here’s the review.
Laneige Eye Mask: An Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner, the leave-on eye mask is great for moisturizing and de-puffing. Very liquidly— feels like a serum. Ever since it’s gotten colder, I like to put an emolliant of some sort on top to keep the moisture in (think Weleda Skin Food). I adore the applicator— a little ceramic ball to massage the product into the undereyes or on the brow bone. I also really like the fact that I don’t need to constantly buy eye patches so I’m using one bottle instead of countless one-use packages. My eyes are moisturized and soothed, but to be honest, I wouldn’t buy this if you’re looking for a prodcut to get rid of dark undereyes or fine lines. Find it here.
Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream: (NOTE: The container look has been updated so it looks different than my picture— do not be alarmed!) So good. SO GOOD!!! I feel like I use the word smooth too much when I talk about skin care but DAMN SON!!! I feel like I’m a crusty baguette and this cream is an organic french butter gliding and melting on my dough-face. Essentially for any skin type, this formula is made with extracts from brussel sprouts, artichokes, and lima beans...so get your veggies through skincare I guess? I use this at night, but it would work for day and before makeup for a clean, saturated canvas. Find it here.
The combination of these two products leaves the entirety of my face plumped and hydrated by the morning.
